Grundfos UP2000

The solution consists of a complete packaging line for packaging pumps in display boxes. The solution was to replace an existing Wrap Around (WA) machine and a tray erector. What we demanded was a high degree of reliability and fast changeover times. At the same time, it should be a very operator-friendly solution.

The first process on the line is a Meurer tray erector which erects an inlay which is then placed in a palette where the pump is placed manually. The pumps are then automatically conveyed to a Meurer Wrap Around machine where the inlay with the pump is pushed out of the pallet. The pumps are then packed in WA carton. The case is labeled and turned around before it arrives at the two manual packing stations where operators place the other components in the case. The lid is closed automatically before the case passes through a vision plant. The case is finally palletized in an Okura palletizing cell.

An operator display makes it easy for the operator to gain an overview of all functions. It also informs the operator of any errors and offers corrective actions.
